ABOUT BAREFOOT
Ottawa’s Barefoot Painting is owned and operated, by sole-proprietor Sterling-Edward Gionet. Sterling grew up in East-end Ottawa, attended Queen Elizabeth Elementary, and Lisgar Collegiate Highschool, before Graduating from Algonquin College in Small Business Management. Sterling conceived Barefoot in 2008. Barefoot Painting and Renovations has over 20 years experience in the Home Renovation Industry. The East-Coast of Canada provided the home of Barefoot's humble beginnings, in the form of small residential projects. The path walked shoeless, led back to Ottawa eventually where larger private projects led to contracts in condos and rental properties.
Sterling stands behind all of his work, taking pride in a job well done, but at the end of the day, the work speaks for itself. With a warm, approachable disposition, Sterling has proven himself honest and consistently reliable.
With over 250 artfully completed contracts to date, Barefoot can handle painting projects of all sizes; nothing is too big, too small, too simple, or complex. Matching product to project, in order to meet his client's budgets, and overall expectations, Sterling offers his clients a perfectly tailored experience. Employees are screened and trained thoroughly to ensure an honest and ethical 'Barefoot Family'. Liability insurance for your home or commercial building is provided, and all WHIMS and WSIB protocols are observed.

COLOUR CONSULTATION
With literally thousands and thousands of colours available to you, it can often be a difficult choice to pick the colour that you really want for your project. You may not even know where to start! When you hire Barefoot, choosing colours no longer has to be a frustrating or daunting experience.
If you would like to choose your own colours, we will happily lend you one of our colour fan books.
Barefoot Painting & Renovations works closely with several experienced professional designers and colour consultants, and we will be happy to facilitate a colour consultation for you by Barefoot Painting.
A colour consultant will arrange a meeting with you to help you discover the colours that best suit your taste. During the meeting they will get a feeling for what direction you would like to go in regarding colour for either your interior or exterior projects. Once they have an idea of what look you are trying to create, they can show you particular colours that you may never have thought of. With their experience and knowledge, they can bring your vision and desires one step closer to reality.
Once you have narrowed down your choices, you can even buy small containers of paint (or “testers”) in thousands of colours, to give you a better idea of what your project will look like. Simply apply a small amount of the tester paint in the colours that you have, to an area that will be painted or on to some poster board.
Digital Preview Once you’ve hired Barefoot Painting & Renovations, if you are still unsure of your colour choice, we can provide you with a digital preview of what your project will look like once it is painted by going here with your own personal colour viewer.
How it works is, I take a Digital Photograph of your project. Then, once downloaded on to the computer, we will provide you with a picture of what your project would look like with the colour that you have chosen. With over 3000 Benjamin Moore colours to potentially sample, a digital preview is a great final step before starting work.
